Rumors about a reboot of the series silent Hill have been circulating on the web for some time. While at the beginning there was talk of the return of this iconic series financed by Sony Interactive Entertainment and developed by Hideo Kojimaat the beginning of 2021 there were further rumors that this reboot would have seen the participation of another well-known Japanese developer.
After the topic in recent months has gradually faded away, the insider AestheticGamer alias Dusk Golem, best known for his inside information on Capcom projects, has now provided new conversation topics. On Twitter he has shared images that have been passed to him from an unspecified source and is said to show a 2020 Silent Hill build.
Given that the images are from 2020, the insider points out that the project may now look very different. At the same time, Dusk Golem ensured that the images are from a reliable source and therefore are likely to be real. Additionally, the source is said to have confirmed to him that several new Silent Hill projects are currently in development and not just one game. Not only that, but during a discussion on ResetEra, Dusk Golem further states that Sony is involved in this project, thus bringing back the old rumors.
(1/2) Silent Hill leak. There’s a lot I’m not sharing for now. This is from a relatively new source for me, but I have been given more than enough proof to believe them. I also will mention the names “Anita & Maya”, “SMS Messages”, & this is not the only SH game in dev. The shots pic.twitter.com/t5MWzNxfFS

The images were deleted from Dusk Golem’s Twitter profile, whose account was also blocked for copyright infringement. This would tip the needle on the actual existence of this game: you can still take a look at the images on the ResetEra forum clicking here.
