The new president and CEO of Siemens Spain has more than twenty-five years of experience in the company, since he began his career in 1999 in the energy sector. He was general director for Spain and Portugal of Energy Management, managing the portfolio of transport, distribution and energy supply infrastructure companies. Between October 2011 and September 2014, in turn, he held the position of general director of the Low and Medium Voltage and Smart Grid divisions, within the Infrastructure and Cities Sector.
Previously, Fernando Silva had been responsible for the Energy Automation and Services business units, integrated into the Energy Sector and especially focused on the transmission and distribution market segments, as well as corporate account manager of the EDP Group at Siemens.
Who is Ricardo Ramos
The new CEO of Siemens Mobility for Spain and southwestern Europe has 25 years of experience in the railway sector. Specifically, he began his career at Invensys Rail Dimetronic as an R&D&I project engineer, a position he held between 1999 and 2007, and later dedicated himself to both national and international business development, between 2007 and 2012.
Subsequently, until Siemens Spain acquired Invensys Rail Dimetronic in 2013, Ricardo led the Mass Transit Technology area of R&D&I. From then on, between 2013 and 2018, he was responsible for the Metro Systems Competence Center and the following two years, between 2018 and 2020, he directed the Engineering areas and the application development center of Siemens Mobility Spain.
