Shooting Noora Antikainen aimed to win the trap in the Baku World Cup: “Now I succeed!”

Antikainen’s previous World Cup victory was in 2004, when he celebrated in a double ladder.

Shooting athlete Noora Antikainen excelled in the World Cup in Baku, Azerbaijan and took first place in the women’s ladder.

Antikainen was the top name in his semi-finals and defeated Spain in the medal match Fatima Galvezin 31–29.

“The rehearsals went well before arriving in Baku. I got a good workout below and knew I could succeed. You just have to get everything right in the race, and now I succeed! ” Antikainen, who finished sixth in the basic competition, rejoiced in the press release.

40-year-old Antikainen’s previous World Cup victory was in 2004, when he celebrated in a double trap. The Finn representing OSU had previously finished fourth in the World Cup at its best.

Juho Mäkelä was sixth in the men’s trap after fifth place in the regular race.

“I am quite satisfied. I sidelined my record in the base race (120). It went well and smoothly. The final started well, but in the last discs the relaxation disappeared, ”20-year-old Mäkelä said.
