Murder Voghera, the Northern League commissioner: “Shooting must be the last resort”
“Shooting must be the last resort”: so spoke in 2018 Massimo Adriatici, the Northern League’s councilor for security of the municipality of Voghera accused of the murder of a 39-year-old Moroccan citizen.
Interviewed by the newspaper The Province of Pavia, Adriatici, with regard to the use of weapons, stated: “The use of a weapon must be justified by a real danger, for the person who uses it, for his or her property or those of others. But this does not mean taking justice on your own ”.
“That is, self-defense is configured if I shoot to prevent someone from shooting at me, or there are no other means to put them on the run and prevent them from stealing. Shooting must be the last resort, the last chance to be implemented if there are no others “.
“You certainly cannot shoot to kill and then invoke legitimate defense when, again to give an example of a school, I was hit by a punch” Adriatici said.
The Northern League commissioner, currently under house arrest, is accused of manslaughter for excess of self-defense. According to Adriatici’s version, the gunshot that wounded and killed Youns El Bossettaoui would have started accidentally while the commissioner was down, as it was pushed by the victim.
