Mumbai: Shiv Sena said on Friday that the people of Mumbai will defeat them, who are talking about removing the saffron flag from the Brihanmumbai Metropolitan Municipality (BMC). Shiv Sena made this comment in the editorial of its mouthpiece ‘Saamana’. It is noteworthy that two days ago, BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis had expressed confidence that his party would win the BMC election of 2022 and oust the Shiv Sena from the BSC power.
Fadnavis had said that the saffron flag would be hoisted again in the BMC, but it would belong to the Shiv Sena’s former ally BJP. The former Maharashtra Chief Minister had targeted the party led by Uddhav Thackeray and said that there is no adulteration in BJP’s Hindutva. The Shiv Sena has been controlling BMC for more than two decades, with an annual budget of over Rs 30,000 crore.
It has been written in the editorial of ‘Saamana’ that in the past two Peshwas Bala Natu and Chintu Patwardhan hoisted the saffron from Lal Mahal and hoisted the British Union Jack. While bringing the saffron down, a kind of demonic bliss was seen on the face of the group. Seeing the saffron descending, the entire Punekar, the country was sorrowing and sorrowing, but some people became intoxicated with extreme bliss. If the heirs of this drunken group will have the illusion to remove saffron from the Mumbai Municipal Corporation, then the people of Mumbai will wave saffron on it by building the tomb of that evil intelligence.
The Shiv Sena said that the saffron flag on BMC is a symbol of Maharashtra pride.
The editorial says, “If (you) touch the saffron (flag), you will be destroyed.” This has been evident throughout history. Those who are speaking the language of hoisting the Union Jack of the new East India Company on BMC, they should not forget it. ”
The Shiv Sena claimed that the BJP was associated with the saffron flag only after joining hands with the party founded by the late Bal Thackeray. The Shiv Sena said that talking about saffron landing on the Mumbai Municipal Corporation is like denying Maharashtra’s authority over Mumbai. It has been claimed in the editorial that the removal of saffron is the same as making slaves of landlords, laborers, laborers by making Mumbai a capital of capitalists again. It has been written that those who are plotting to take off the flag of Marathi pride are insulting the fundamental Hindutva of the country.
Shiv Sena alleged, “They want to take off the saffron flag in Mumbai for political gains.” … Those who dreamed of removing the saffron flag from the BMC disappeared forever from politics and public life. ”
