Last Monday, Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced the arrival of Starlink antennas in Ukraine. This service will allow that country to have internet in the areas that were attacked by the Russian government, in addition to protecting itself against cyber attacks.

Ukraine’s distress call to Starlink
Through his Twitter, Fedorov wrote to Musk, requesting the arrival of the teams in his territory.
“@ElonMusk While you are trying to colonize Mars, Russia is trying to colonize Ukraine.. As their rockets successfully land from space, Russian rockets attack the Ukrainian population. We ask you to provide Ukraine with Starlink stations, ”he wrote on the social network.

To which the owner of SpaceX responded a few hours later, “Starlink service is active in Ukraine. More terminals on the way”. Just two days after the request, the deputy prime minister confirmed that the antennas had arrived to its territory successfully. “Starlink is here. Thank you,” she reiterated.

However, according to a review by ‘The Verge’, these antennas still have flaws, so their service can be irregular and slow on some occasions.
In addition, the owner of Tesla claimed that from Monday it was going to provide free charging services at its charging stations in Slovakia, Hungary and Poland, countries bordering Ukraine, with the purpose of offering help to those who need to move when leaving their country of origin.
What is Starlink and who is Elon Musk?
Starlink is a company of the South African programmer Elon Musk that promises to provide a broadband internet service, low latency and global coverage at a low cost. According to Musk, this is one of the safest services to prevent cyber attacks because it uses foreign data centers.
