There are only a few weeks until the launch of Shin Megami Tensei V, and Atlus has confirmed that the game will receive a ton of DLC content from day one. The bad news is that this content will not be free and it seems that it does add a few special missions.
The Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes all the DLC and the base game, it was already listed in the eShop from North America, thus revealing to us the costs for all this additional content. Even if you do not purchase this version, it will be possible to purchase all this DLC separately and here you can find out their prices.
– Shin Megami Tensei V Digital Deluxe Edition – $ 84.99 USD
– Mitama Dance of Wealth – $ 2.99 USD
– Mitama Dance of EXP – $ 2.99 USD
– Mitama Dance of Miracles – $ 2.99 USD
– A Goddess in Training – $ 4.99 USD
– The Rage of a Queen – $ 2.99 USD
– The Doctor’s Last Wish – $ 2.99 USD
– Return of the True Demon – $ 9.99 USD
It was also confirmed that there will be a free update, which adds a new level of difficulty designed for those who are not familiar with the RPG genre.
Shin Megami Tensei V will be available next November 12 for Nintendo Switch.
Editor’s note: The idea that the game will receive paid DLC during its first day in the market will surely annoy more than one person, and considering that this DLC does add missions and special objects that could facilitate the experience, Atlus could have a possible controversy on his hands.
