The new from Atlus focuses its video on the character of Hayatarou, a demon who will accompany us on our adventure.
The new video in Atlus’s “Daily Demon” series about Shin Megami Tensei V has featured Hayatarou, a demon based on a figure from Japanese legends that revolves around the temple guardian KÅzen-ji. Legend tells of a wild dog who gave birth to three cubs, including Hayatarou, who would later become the guardian of the temple. After saving a local boy from the attack of a wild animal, Hayatarou killed three yÅkai to later become the figure who would avoid sacrifices to demons. Hayatarou’s grave still remains today.
It is common for JRPGs to take references from Japanese folkloreIt is very common for JRPGs to refer to figures from Japanese folklore and Atlus is a specialist in this. In the video we see an imposing dog-shaped demon. Due to his history as a guardian of the temple, the new character has a past as a demon slayer and this is something that Atlus reinforces in his presentation.
The character shows a powerful physical attack, although we can also see that he has good support, in the video we see how his precision and evasion increases with a skill, in addition to other abilities to place himself as a target of the enemies. The character is also capable of healing the team, which is why it is shown as a very solvent support for both defense and attack. Atlus has been posting a series of videos about the demons that we will find in the game.
