ATLUS has released a lot of news regarding the protagonists and the combat system of Shin Megami Tensei V.
The software house has indeed introduced Tao Isonokami, Yuzuru Atsuta, Ichiro Dazai, Miyazu Atsuta And Hayao Koshimizu, which will also be found in the world of Da’at after a mysterious accident. But that’s not all, in fact there will also be information about the combat system and some of the innovations that will be made in this fifth chapter of the franchise. After the collapse of a tunnel, the protagonist will find himself wandering in a Tokyo devastated and invaded by demons: the world of Da’at. It will find itself merging with the mysterious Aogami and become the “Nahobino”In order to have enough strength to defeat the demons.
However, the protagonist is not the only one who will find himself wandering in the Da’at after that mysterious incident. His classmates too Yuzuru Atsuta And Ichiro Dazai they will have close encounters with the demons, but somehow they manage to reach the protagonist and return together to Tokyo.
What awaits them, however, is the presence of another classmate of theirs: Tao Isonokami. According to the girl, there are two versions of Tokyo, the one in which humans live and the Da’at. The mystical demons of Da’at were born out of darkness and have set their sights on humanity and the other Tokyo. He will then reveal to the group that he is a part of Bethel, an organization that has sworn to defeat the demons.
The group will decide to join Bethel to protect the people of Tokyo, with Yuzuru and Ichiro who will be able to harness the power of a program capable of summoning demons and the protagonist who will hold the powers of the Nahobino.
But just as everything seemed to be returning to normal, an emergency alert came from Bethel. Demons have appeared in Tokyo. The protagonist and the others will begin to protect the inhabitants of the city in the affected areas. But a group of demons has set their sights on the protagonist’s school, the Jouin High School, and one of her classmates will find herself in trouble …

Classmate of the protagonist. Third year student and member of the lacrosse club. A kind-hearted girl, she has had a sixth sense since she was little. Help the Japanese branch of Bethel and give support to the protagonist when he joins the group.

He will decide to join Bethel’s cause to fight the demons, so that he can prove his worth to everyone.

Yuzuru’s younger sister and her only surviving family member. Shy and reserved, her delicate constitution means that she often finds herself in the infirmary. During the onslaught of demons on Jouin High School, he will find himself in the midst of chaos.

Prime Minister of Japan and principal representative of the Japanese branch of Bethel. Extremely calm and excellent strategist, he will offer Ichiro and the others the possibility of using the program to summon demons in order to assist the cause of Bethel.
This new chapter will see the return of the classic turn-based combat system. By hitting the weak point of the enemies we will get additional turns, thus guaranteeing us the possibility of taking the advantage. However, enemies will also have the same chance, so we will have to be very careful.
Among the innovations introduced in the fifth chapter we will find the Magatsushi Skills, particular moves capable of doing massive damage to opponents and at the same time heal the party. Before you can use them we will have to fill a specific bar, which will gradually increase based on the actions performed, which is why we will have to pay particular attention to when to use these moves in battle.
