Mexico City.- After the meeting with governors, Claudia Sheinbaum, virtual president-elect, received the former president of Argentina, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, at the transition house.
“I met with the former president of Argentina, Cristina Kirchner (@CFKArgentina). We talked about the transformation process in Mexico, the importance of supporting governments that represent their people and that are alternatives to neoliberalism, which did so much harm to our countries. We talked about Latin America and what it means to be a woman president. I was very pleased to meet her,” the Morena member wrote on her X account.
Fernández arrived at the house, located in the Iztapalapa Municipality, around 4:00 p.m. Senator Citlalli Hernández was also present at the meeting.
On Monday, Fernández held a private meeting with the Secretary of Foreign Affairs and future Minister of the Environment, Alicia Bárcena.
