“It is very sad, this femicide is unfortunate. She is investigating the Attorney General’s Office from the first moment she met. I would not like to give more advances, the Prosecutor’s Office itself has to give it, but there are very important advances in the investigation,” Sheinbaum said about the discovery of the body in a place in Ajusco, in the mayor’s office Tlalpan.
He added that the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office (FGJCDMX) already provides support to the victim’s family, while assuring that “what we want is for there to be justice, as in all these cases.”
Similarly, he assured that CDMX is working to eradicate femicides, as well as to strengthen the gender alertto provide security to the women of the city.
“In the case of femicides, particularly in these months, what is, perhaps, more important is the work of the Prosecutor’s Office in the arrests; Every time there is a femicide, there is an alert from the Attorney General’s Office itself on the alleged perpetrators, in most femicides they are known people,” Sheinbaum said.
“So, that’s where the alert comes from, from the first investigation that is done, and it does not end in a continuous shift until the culprit is found,” he added, while the CDMX Prosecutor’s Office highlighted this Tuesday that, contrary to the crimes of high impact, femicides show figures similar to those of 2021, after five investigation folders have already been opened so far this year.
About the investigation
Also on Tuesday, the FGJCDMX stated that it was already providing legal, psychological, social and economic assistance to the family of the driver from Veracruz, while keeping in touch with the victim’s family and friends in order to cover the different lines of investigation in which they work.

Similarly, the FGJCDMX highlighted that it works together with the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) in the clarification of the femicide of Michelle Simón, whose body was found this Monday by ejido workers while trying to put out a fire near the Picacho-Ajusco highway, in the Tlalpan mayor’s office.
