Mexico City.- Virtual president-elect Claudia Sheinbaum is considering living in the National Palace, like President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
At a press conference, Sheinbaum said that it has its pros and cons, which is why she is discussing it with her husband Jesús María Tarriba.
-Do you confirm that you will live in the Palace?, he was asked.
“We’re going… we’re looking at what we’re going to do, it has its pros and cons, we’re making that decision with Jesus, my husband,” she replied.
-But are you going to dispatch there?
“Yes, of course,” he replied.
Sheinbaum also announced that between October and December, the 12 million older adults in the country will be visited to conduct a face-to-face questionnaire to find out about their health situation and needs in this area.
“The goal is for nurses, doctors, and promoters, the nation’s servants, to visit the 12 million elderly people in their homes. We are going to start from October to December with what is called a screening, that is, a consultation (…) of their health situation. What medications they use, how often they go to the doctor, we are going to do a questionnaire designed by medical specialists,” he explained.
The next president said that the questionnaire will also serve to find out where most of their pensions are spent, and she announced that in January 2025 she will begin another phase of visits nationwide to provide direct attention.
He also said that during his term, these visits will be made at least once a month.
