Mexico City.– President Claudia Sheinbaum warned about the effects of tropical depression Once-E, which will impact the Pacific coasts in the next few hours.
Through her social networks, the president indicated that the phenomenon will cause intense rains in Oaxaca and Guerrero.
This last entity is still fresh from the effects of Hurricane “John”, which left at least 40 municipalities affected and thousands of people affected. “Tropical Depression Once-E is expected to make landfall in the next 24 hours, bringing heavy rain to the coasts of Oaxaca and Guerrero,” he wrote.
Sheinbaum asked the population to stay away from the riverbed and locate the closest shelters in case of overflows or flooding.
“We ask the population to stay away from river beds, stay in high places and approach shelters, as well as follow the instructions of the authorities,” he urged.
