The Sharjah Sports Council launched its new program “Wa’ed” to discover 60 players for leadership qualification of both sexes, aged 12-14 and 15-17 years in team and individual games, and the program is scheduled to start from this March to next July, and aims to spread a culture Affiliation and teamwork among players and its adoption as a model for preparing sports teams.
The details of the program were announced at a press conference held at the Business Center of Sharjah Media City “Shams”, in the presence of Issa Hilal Al-Hazami, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, Dr. Khaled Omar Al Midfa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sharjah Media City “Shams”, and Dr. Abdullah Abdul Rahman bin Sultan, Member of the Board Management Chairman of the Strategic Foresight Committee and Program Head, Dr. Ahmed Saad Al-Sharif, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Academy of Research and Development of Sports Science Activities “Drasa”, Nabil Mohamed Ashour, Director of the Department of Sports and Development Affairs, Vice President of the Program, and a number of Board members, representatives of clubs, directors of departments and council employees .
Issa Hilal said: The program’s work team was formed at the end of last November, headed by Dr. Abdullah Abdul Rahman bin Sultan, Vice President Nabil Muhammad Ashour, and the membership of Muhammad Ali bin Hammad, Omran Muhammad Al Jasmi, Dr. Nawaf, Badan Salman, Muhammad Ahmad Hijazi, the team’s rapporteur and a representative of the partners. The objectives of the program are to develop human capital, and to provide a global sports system to attract expertise and manufacture young Emirati sports leaders according to international professional standards that enable them to lead the sports future.
For his part, Dr. Abdullah Abdul Rahman bin Sultan explained that a promising program is based mainly on a positive environment to build the player and discover and refine his talent, culturally, physically and technically, so that he will be qualified in the future to occupy any leadership role in the administrative or technical field, and we look forward to the cooperation of the clubs, so that the program achieves all The ambitions attached to it, the program relies on modern practical foundations by utilizing practical curricula in the sports field to prepare successive generations with sporting leadership qualities, capable of influencing and inspiring others, spreading a culture of belonging and teamwork in team spirit and selecting a select group of young athletes between 12-17 years After passing psychological and personal tests and developing their leadership abilities, under the supervision of academic professors, experts in the field of sports management, sports leaders and consultants in executive management.
Dr. Abdullah bin Sultan added, “The program is linked to the council’s strategic directives through the vision that Sharjah clubs are among the best Arab and international clubs that are morally and athletically superior, and achieve its mission through preparing effective Emirati leaders to ensure that the level of youth is raised morally and athletically, develops their talents, and advances sports, in line with And the principles of the Islamic religion, moral values and national goals, by showing the values of integrity, gratitude, sports ethics, teamwork, excellence, endurance, professionalism, loyalty, commitment, interaction, communication, awareness and culture, leading to the presence of future sports leaders to enable sports institutions to Perfectly perform her role.
Nabil Muhammad Ashour said: Academic excellence, behavioral balance, availability of leadership personal characteristics, passing tests to measure psychological attitudes, and personal interviews are prerequisites for selecting the players participating in the program. The programme, benefiting from experts and teachers and benefiting from the facilities of private schools and any facilities affiliated with the Sharjah Education Council, in addition to the contributions of the General Command of the Sharjah Police in strengthening communication and linking and hosting trainers, experts and lecturers to implement training activities and benefit from facilities such as halls, equipment and libraries, coordination regarding field visits and the provision of lecturers specialized in education Security and the extent to which Sharjah Police benefited from the program, as well as the partnership with the Transport Authority.
He pointed out that the players and players and the disabled category will be registered for the program through nomination by clubs in the emirate, to join its categories, the first category is for players from 12 to 14 years old, and the second category is for players from 15 to 17 years, where an integrated plan was monitored over 5 months that includes various Training programs, workshops, simulation programs, bilateral meetings, internal visits and forums, in addition to a presentation of important books such as the book “Narrative of the Self” by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah.
He added: We look forward to providing distinguished work through this program and the concerted efforts of the council, clubs in the emirate, strategic partners and cooperating authorities in order to support sports and athletes of both sexes and achieve what the council hopes by creating the future of a sports generation to honor the emirate and continue the sports process in the emirate in particular and the UAE in general. .
