Concluded Sharjah International Airport Free Zone Authority A memorandum of understanding with the global Spanish “Torreside” group, which specializes in ceramic and glass solutions, products and services, to lease three warehouses with a total area of about 20,000 square feet, so that Sharjah will be the first headquarters for the group in the UAE and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
This step comes as a confirmation of the region’s attractiveness to foreign direct investment in strategic economic sectors and areas, and the consecration of its leadership as one of the fastest growing free zones in the Middle East.
The memorandum of understanding was signed at the headquarters of “the authority” Saud Salem Al Mazrouei, Director of the Sharjah International Airport Free Zone Authority, and Jose Nasher, the Group’s branch manager in Sharjah, in the presence of a number of officials and managers from both sides.
The Spanish group aims to expand its global network of operations, as it is present in 28 countries and regions around the world, and has clients in 130 countries, and has chosen its headquarters in the region to be a main focal point in its operations towards the markets of Asia, Africa, Europe, America and Latin America.
