Get some glasses. Or lenses. Or laser. Because some of the Dutch motorists have to deal with poor visibility.
If you can’t read the license plate of the car properly, it might be a good idea to visit the optician. Poor visibility accounts for 5 percent of all traffic accidents worldwide. Drivers think they can continue driving for a while without an aid to improve visibility, but suddenly that car pops up out of nowhere. An accident is in a small corner.
Poor visibility in traffic
Reason for Pearle Opticiens to to do an investigation in your own country. What seems? About 20 percent of Dutch motorists and electric cyclists indicate that they do not see clearly on the road. A decent percentage. Safe Traffic Netherlands advises road users to check their eyes every two years and not just in case of complaints of poor vision.
The bad thing (or maybe a good thing too) is that your eyes don’t go bad one day or another. This is a very slow process that you will get used to. Often you don’t even realize it. It is only when you put on glasses that you realize how sharp the world can look.
If someone looks out the window of his or her car ‘blind!’ calls to you, it can indeed do no harm to pay a visit to the optician. And no, taking a friendly guide dog in the car will not help you.
More than 1,000 Dutch people aged 18 or older participated in the study. The research was carried out by M2MW on behalf of Pearle.
