Her Excellency Shamma bint Suhail Faris Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Vice President of the Arab Youth Center, called on the UAE youth to take advantage of all programs to develop themselves, their experiences and capabilities, in order to achieve the ambition of the wise leadership that bet on Emirati youth, and the world would be proud of them.
Her Excellency said, during a virtual meeting that brought together more than 200 young people participating in the “Mawhibatna” initiative, as part of the activities of the 2021 virtual summer camp, in cooperation with the Center for Gifted Youth at Johns Hopkins University: “We in the UAE do not believe in something called impossible. Our youth.. We bet on you, and you will compete and brag about you in the world, during the next fifty years,” noting the importance of this initiative, which seeks to enhance the skills of more than 500 young men and women in various vital sectors.
Her Excellency praised Sandooq Al Watan, saying: “This fund is one of the most important bodies specialized in preparing a generation of national leaders; Which will lead us to great achievements.. Every year, Sandooq Al Watan fascinates us with its qualitative and distinctive initiatives,” she said, pointing to the importance of the “Mawhibatna” initiative in developing and refining the skills of young men and women from the country.
She continued: “Today, we are in a race with the world to develop ourselves, and it is very important to us when we are compared to the youth abroad that our youth are among the best. I want you to become role models in various fields, and to compete with the best specialists in your fields. Your participation in this initiative is the first step in The race for self-development that does not stop at a certain age.
For her part, Hind Baqer, General Manager of the Fund, said: “Young people are the main pillar for the development of society, and they are the means through which all sectors are upgraded to achieve the vision of the UAE leadership in reaching the first places in the world. It is important in society, and is constantly working on innovating initiatives that contribute to developing their knowledge and capabilities in line with the requirements and needs of the future.”
Baqer added: “Sandooq Al Watan, with its ambitious vision to develop capabilities, skills and develop talents, will continue to launch educational and development initiatives in various fields that will help the youth of our country in creativity, innovation and competition to be the best among the world’s youth.”
Baqer thanked Her Excellency Shamma Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, for this motivating and inspiring speech to the initiative’s affiliates, noting the great importance of decision-makers’ communication with the program’s affiliates, because, by sharing their experiences and expertise, they set an example and motivate them to proactive thinking, and to continue working to achieve their goals and ambitions. Which will certainly serve the interest of the Emirati society.
The “Mawhibatna” initiative is one of the “Sandooq Al Watan” programs, which seeks to discover 2,000 talented children, take care of 500 of them, and support their enrollment in the best universities in the world.
