Seven newborns died in a fire at a children’s center in eastern New Delhi
Seven newborns died in a fire at a child care center in the Indian capital New Delhi. This was reported to the city law enforcement agencies, reports TASS.
Firefighters who arrived at the scene of the fire managed to save 12 newborns from the first floor. It took them longer to evacuate the seven children from the upper floors. They died in the hospital.
Indian authorities expressed condolences over the tragedy. An investigation into the circumstances of the incident was launched.
Earlier, in the Indian city of Rajkot, a fire occurred in a gaming area, which killed 27 people. Nine children were among the dead. It is noted that the police detained the management of the gaming zone.
