We are in the month of terror, and to commemorate this time of witches, ghosts and darkness, I bring you a perfect book for these dates: Seven Headless Skeletons, a book that is part of the saga of the book of heroes, by the Mexican writer Antonio Malpica, computer engineer, musician, playwright. He acknowledges that music gave him the first impulse to be creative and expressive through art. He considers that when he writes he is playing and lets it be seen, his stories are games with rules that the reader gradually discovers and thus lets the characters and situations live.
How much fear can you bear, Mendoza? Sergio doesn’t know. He will soon discover that it is necessary, he must know the true terror to solve the mystery of some horrible murders, understand his destiny and, at the same time, save his own life.
Through a simple narrative, set in the Mexico Citythe book tells the story of Sergio Mendoza, a twelve-year-old boy, with a strong past, who is involved in the investigations of the Police, who try to find a serial killer who has kidnapped a child and has returned the body beheaded at the gates of the victim’s house.
Sergio, after receiving several confusing messages from a stranger who seems to know everything about the murder and who informs Sergio about how this boy is only the first victim in a line of future murders. I highly recommend this book. I found it mysterious, part terrifying, with a good follow-up and a fairly well-written climax. Perfect for spending a scary night.
