Charity initiative, on the occasion of the 10th day of the championship: the League has organized a campaign to support Doctors Without Borders, with the aim of bringing medical care where it is most needed.

Doctors Without Borders announces the initiative called “Mondo Ferito” which will take place in the matches this weekend, in relation to the 10th matchday of Serie A. “The world is wounded by wars and conflicts, which cause death and destruction when they are in course – it says -, but continue to kill even after due to lack of care, food or livelihoods. To bring medical assistance to populations affected by conflicts, MSF launches the fundraising campaign “Wounded World”: donate 2 euros with SMS from a mobile phone, 5 or 10 euros with a landline call to 45522, or online on the website, www.msf.it/smssolidale.
All Serie A teams will take the field to support the Doctors Without Borders initiative by inviting fans to donate. Among the testimonials of the initiative Stephan El Shaarawy, Roma striker, and Massimo Ambrosini, former AC Milan captain, today TV commentator. The funds raised through the campaign will go to support 5 MSF projects in Ukraine, Afghanistan, Yemen, Nigeria and Italy. ”

· The response to the war in Ukraine where an emergency clinic train was set up that evacuated more than 1,000 wounded from bombed cities to safer hospitals;
· The Khost maternity hospital in Afghanistan, where a female staff helps deliver nearly 2,000 babies every month and the neonatal unit has been repeatedly overloaded with two or more patients per bed;
The trauma center of Mocha in Yemen, where in 2021 more than 2,200 surgeries were performed and more than 350 women assisted during childbirth
· The nutritional therapeutic center of Maiduguri in Nigeria, where 50% more children were hospitalized this year than in 2021;
· The medical-humanitarian action in Italy, where thousands of refugees have found shelter since the beginning of the war in Ukraine and which continues to welcome people fleeing wars from many parts of the world “.
