Volodymyr Struk, mayor of the city of Kremmina, in eastern Ukraine’s Lugansk region, was found dead on Wednesday, according to local media. Struk’s wife reportedly told the Daily Mail that the mayor was shot in the heart after “being taken from his home”.

The announcement was made by an adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Anton Gerashchenko, on Telegram. “One less Ukraine traitor. Volodymyr Struk has been found dead,” he said. According to him, “in the last week Struk has actively taken a Russian position”.
