South Korea's National Intelligence Service (NIS) confirmed this Monday (8) that the terrorist group Hamas has been using North Korean-made anti-tank grenade launchers, although Pyongyang denies having negotiated with the organization's armed wing.
A spokesperson for the NIS, consulted by the agency Yonhapratified a report on Friday (5), from the American broadcaster Voice of America (VOA), indicating that the detonator or fuze of a rocket – apparently an F-7 – recently used by Hamas shows characters in Korean and provided photographic evidence that this type of part is actually mounted just below the head of F-7s manufactured by the regime .
The F-7 is a high-explosive cluster rocket that North Korea designed to be fired with a launcher based on the Soviet RPG-7 anti-tank rocket.
The source said the NIS is collecting more detailed evidence of North Korea's alleged arms supplies to Hamas, from volumes to shipping dates.
In October, the South Korean military already stated that it suspected that North Korea could have directly or indirectly supplied weapons to Hamas after analyzing the attacks that the militia carried out against Israel on October 7.
The NIS itself also said in November that it had obtained evidence of direct instructions from North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un to provide arms assistance to organizations opposing Israel.
The Py regime has publicly denied any links to Hamas and has described reports indicating otherwise as rumors promoted by the United States.
