Senator Vance: US has no obligation to defend EU even when threatened by Russia
Ohio Senator and Republican vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance commented on the current US government’s claims about the alleged threat to European countries from Russia. He said this spoke out in a conversation with the Semafor portal.
Vance criticized the US government’s statements about the threat from Russia and reminded that Washington is not obligated to defend the European Union.
“When the Harris administration says that if we don’t stop Putin in Ukraine, he will march all the way to Germany, first of all, that’s not true, and secondly, what does that say about Germany’s defense capability?” he wondered.
