The Senate opened this Wednesday (13) a electronic trading for the purchase of disposable handcuffs, metal handcuffs, goggles and handcuff holder for the Senate Police Department (SPOL). According to the notice, the total estimated value of the acquisitions is R$32,868.80.
The delivery period for equipment is 30 calendar days from the date of contracting. The number of handcuffs requested is noteworthy due to the history of few arrests in the Senate.

The last person arrested by the Senate Police, in July this year, was Roberto Ferreira Dias, former director of logistics at the Ministry of Health, accused of having lied to the Covid-19 Parliamentary Inquiry Commission (CPI).
The last purchase of safety equipment was made in 2008.
