Apple was quick to recommend the iOS 15.6.1 update to all iPhone and iPad owners, describing it as important to fix two system vulnerabilities. Waiting for iOS 16, currently in beta and expected for the first half of September in the final version, an update arrives for all the others that solves security problems. The first vulnerability discovered by Apple allowed an application to execute uncontrolled commands with kernel privileges, while the second had to do with the Internet browser and put surfers at risk of data theft. Both flaws, more simply, partially exposed malicious control of the phone, even though the reported cases were just starting when Apple released the update. The advice is not to wait and, if you have not already done so, update iPhone to iOS 15.6.1 and iPad to iPadOS 15.6.1. The flaws concern only iOS 15, so those who are already using iOS 16, even in beta, need not worry.
