Pakistani security forces killed six terrorists and also raided their hideouts, after an intense exchange of fire, during an intelligence operation that took place on Friday night in the North Waziristan region.
According to a statement issued by the Joint Public Relations Authority of the Armed Forces, the media wing of the Pakistani army, during the course of the operation, an intense exchange of fire took place between the Pakistani army forces and the terrorists, according to what was reported by the Pakistani newspaper “The Nation” on Sunday.
The dead terrorists were actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces as well as targeted killings of innocent civilians in the area.
The statement added, “The security forces are conducting a cleansing operation in the area. They are still determined to eradicate the threat of terrorism in the area.”
