The Calabrian track was closed by the Forestry Carabinieri of Cerzeto, of the Station of Terranova from Sybaris and by the men of the Commissariat of Castrovillari, who carried out a decree of preventive seizure of a large area used as a racetrack in the Municipality of Tarsia.

The Tarsia racetrack in Calabria was seized for building abuse. In fact, the Carabinieri carried out the order for the preventive seizure of the area used as a racetrack. In total the seals have covered over ten hectares of surface located in locality “Apologies – Scorciapecora”.
Investigations on the track conducted by the Police have revealed some violations to the environmental legislation as the track area is close to the “Lake of Tarsia” and near the Crati rivertherefore on land affected by landscape / environmental constraints.

The seals at the Tarsi racetrack were also placed because the investigation revealed that within the track, on an area partly owned by the municipality and state property, buildings were made of concrete and metal unauthorized. They were also found inside a warehouse on the track special waste”, such as discarded tires, insulated panels, plastic material, as well as some cars, motorcycles and spare parts.
The owner of the area also was reported in a state of freedom for activities of unauthorized waste management and for violations of building regulations.
