The regulation of the circulation of electric scooters continues to hold ground. Especially since, on the eve of the introduction of the obligation to wear a helmet in Florence, a new one occurred in the nearby Rome mortal accident which saw a vehicle of this type as its protagonist: the tragedy occurred in the Garbatella district, where a 48-year-old man driving his scooter crashed into a car, a crash that occurred for him fatal.
According to initial reconstructions, the accident occurred around 6:30 pm in via Cesare Federici, at the intersection with via Cristoforo Colombo between Tor Marancia and Garbatella. The clash between the scooter and the car was very strong, so much so that for the 48-year-old driving the former there was nothing to be done: the resuscitation attempts by the 118 operators who immediately rushed to the scene were useless once the rescue request was received, the injuries sustained by the scooter driver were too serious. At the moment it has not yet been clarified who the responsibility of the accident: the local police officers of the VIII Tintoretto Group went to the scene of the accident and carried out all the relevant findings, decisive details will soon come to light that will establish who is the real culprit.
