Science and Technology – USA: this is how the world’s first digital art museum works

Since January, the US city of Seattle has hosted the world’s first NFT art museum. NFT stands for Non-Fungible Token, a digital certificate of authenticity that is associated with a single digital file.

In other words, just as in conventional art, we value the original piece, in digital art, the NFT tells us that the work is original.

Since the space opened its doors, it has become an important stage for this type of art because although you might think that you only need a screen to see a digital work, what this site offers is precisely the experience of a museum.

Jennifer Wong, co-founder of the place, says that “we realized the impact of being able to look at this type of art in a place where you really slow down, you see all the details, you are not just swiping the screen of your phone.”

The museum has a set schedule for the entire year and plans to continue educating its visitors about the future of non-fungible tokens. Despite being a considerably recent field, in 2021, this industry produced 14,000 million dollars and this year the profit is expected to be more than 21,000 million.
