Because it is precisely from schools that we must start, from younger people, to pass on the culture of prevention to them, to make them understand from an early age how fundamental it is to take care of one’s health”. This was stated by the Minister of Health, Orazio Schillaci, in his speech at the presentation in Rome of the Cancer Prevention Week promoted by the Lilt-Italian League for the fight against tumors.
With the joint inter-ministerial work “we want to make children understand right from the start how important it is to have a correct diet, how important it is to have a non-sedentary life, play sports, avoid activities that can be harmful once they are adults – he specified – Communicate, correctly informing and raising awareness is essential to reach as many people as possible: also preventing hoaxes, as stated in the brochure that debunks false myths about the relationship between food, physical activity and cancer, which flood the web above all”.
