At least eight footballers would be involved. Apparently there would be sexual abuse and neglect.

The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) investigates an alleged orgy in which several players and members of the technical team of the Famalicão club would have been involvedas reported today by the Portuguese newspaper Público.

The events, “an alleged orgy and practices of a sexual nature”, would have occurred in the 2021-22 season in a club apartment, where a member of the technical team lived, and would have affected at least eight playersaccording to a person whose identity was not revealed but who would be a former Famalicão player.

“Seeing several of my colleagues by profession denounce practices of sexual harassment (…), I decided to also tell my case in this way and hope that this situation will also be investigated,” explained the complainant, collected by the Portuguese medium.

Furthermore, he criticized the “negligent conduct” of the club officials that “they did nothing” when they were notified that the coach and the sports director of the club had been denounced for practices of sexual harassment while working on other computers.

In September, the club suspended sports director Samuel Costa and coach Miguel Afonso, both from the women’s team, after the FPF opened an investigation into suspected sexual harassment of female players when they worked at Vitória de Guimarães and River Ave, respectively.
