Mandalika’s Saturday could have already awarded the world championship a day earlier than the end of the season, but the rain has decided to change plans. After much uncertainty, the Race Direction decided to cancel Race 1 due to the prohibitive conditions of the track, completely flooded by the pouring rain that is invading the Indonesian track.
Thus the program for tomorrow changes, which will conclude the weekend and the season: the Superpole Race is replaced by Race 1, which will be postponed from Saturday afternoon to Sunday morning. Superbike thus returns to the old format, with the two long races on the final day. Race 1 will start at 4 (Italian time), while Race 2 will start at 8 (Italian time).
With 12 points less it will be even more difficult for Jonathan Rea to try to slow down the title race of Toprak Razgatlioglu, who already has 30 points on the Kawasaki rider. There are now 50 points up for grabs and the Turkish player is increasingly heading towards his first world championship. However, track conditions will also have to be taken into consideration tomorrow.
