More than ten largest meat processing companies, including Miratorg, Ostankino, Klinsky, Dymov and others, have notified retailers of a 7-20% price increase for their products from late October to early November. This was reported to “Izvestia” in retail chains.
According to the Verny chain, the most likely to rise in price are finished products, for example, meatballs – by 10%, chicken schnitzel – up to 18%, meatballs and chicken cutlets – up to 10%, minced meat – up to 12%. The company added that prices for salami and sausages could increase by 10%.
According to the Association of Retail Companies (AKORT), most suppliers of the “meat” category sent notifications about the increase in selling prices for their products by an average of 8-10%. Lenta received requests from a number of manufacturers to increase the cost of pork and beef from 4% to 25%, depending on the position.
In “Verny” they said that meat and poultry producers also declare a rise in prices: for chicken carcasses – by 8%, for fillets – up to 7%, for pork and beef – by 10-20%. Most of all, beef tenderloin and pork ribs can rise in price, added in the retailer.
Manufacturers explain the rise in prices by the rise in prices for raw materials, packaging, detergents and others. The Ministry of Agriculture promised livestock enterprises an additional 10 billion rubles in subsidies to compensate for part of the cost of purchasing feed to stabilize the situation.
