He continued: “We call for the reform of the Security Council to be more just and effective in facing common international challenges.
Regarding the Ukraine war, Faisal bin Farhan said:We support all international efforts to end the Russian-Ukrainian crisis and stop military operations in order to protect lives and property and preserve regional and international security and stability.
On the Palestinian issue, the Saudi foreign minister explained: “The security of the Middle East requires accelerating a comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.”
He added, “The Middle East region is in dire need of concerted efforts in order to establish security and stability and provide a better future that meets the aspirations of peoples for development and prosperity.”
He also renewed Saudi Arabia’s support for the armistice in Yemen, calling for the need to “stop the flow of arms to Yemen,” adding, “Saudi Arabia also continues its leadership role as the largest supporter of meeting the humanitarian and development needs of the brothers in Yemen.”
On the Lebanese issue, the spokesman called for “radical political and economic reforms to ensure the elimination of the crisis in Lebanon, and for the government to extend its control over all Lebanese territories.”
