At the Sciorba the eldest of the Lamberti family (son of Giorgio and Tanya Vannini) dominates the 1500 freestyle and with 14’38 “96 shatters the previous record of the event which belonged to Domenico Acerenza. Previously Lamberti had obtained the silver medal in the 200 freestyle (1’45 “53) behind Gabriele Detti (1’45” 33) and in front of the medaled brother of Kazan, Michele (1’46256).
