With the result in the match that ended the 26th round of the Brazilian Championship, São Paulo was in 13th place with 31 points. Vozão, on the other hand, is the 14th, with 30.
Under Ceni’s command, Tricolor showed more will from the start, creating the first clear opportunity with Igor Gomes in the first minute. Time passed, and São Paulo wasted chances.
And, as the saying goes, whoever doesn’t take it. On minute 22, defensive midfielder Fabinho took advantage of the ball at the entrance to the area and hit it strong, at first, to score a beautiful goal for Ceará.
With the disadvantage on the scoreboard, the Morumbi team continued pressing in search of the goal, but it was too bad in the submissions. Thus, the tie came only after the break, at 6 minutes, when Luiz Otávio made a mistake when cutting the ball, which I get Calleri, who hit twice to beat goalkeeper Richard. Opportunities continued to appear side by side, but both teams failed in submissions, which kept the tie until the final minute.
São Paulo returns to play for the Brazilian next Monday (18), when they play a derby against Corinthians. A day before, Ceará receives Bragantino at Castelão.
