The president of RTVE, José Pablo López, has appointed Maribel Sánchez-Maroto Inarejos New Director of Information Contents of Spanish Television and Jon Ariztimuño Informative Director in a strategy of modernization of the news. His professional career began in the center of TVE in Sant Cugat, where he was until 2003, linked to daily information, as responsible for the TVE newspaper in Catalonia and as a deputy director of programs such as Line 900 and the debate of the 2. She was director of Magacines and current TVE programs from 2010 to 2013. Jon Ariztimuño, a journalist specialized in economics and politics, is the current deputy director of structures and formats of informative programs of RTVE and performed his work mainly as editor, editor and executive producer in current programs on televisions of local, autonomic and national scope, so as in CNN at its Atlanta headquarters.
Between 2017 and 2021 he was director of news at Telemadrid, where he was part of the team that worked in the relaunch of the chain and in 2022 he joined RTVE, where he coordinates content and manages joint resources between the current programs of Prado del Rey and the Informative services in Torrespaña. Bachelor of Audiovisual Communication from the University of Navarra, has a Master in Audiovisual Business Management of EAE Business School, has conducted the IESE Management Development Program (PDD) and currently performs the executive master’s degree in Digital Business, Innovation & Entrepreneurship de Esade. He has been a trainer in communication techniques and as a teacher, he has taught at different universities and currently in RTVE Institute.
