María González Veracruz is from this Tuesday the new Secretary of State for Telecommunications. The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, appointed the Murcian during the Council of Ministers held during this day and replaces Roberto Sánchez, who left the post for health reasons.
González Veracruz was a national deputy and former member of the Federal Executive of the PSOE. In addition, she is the daughter of the former general secretary of the PSRM, Rafael González Tovar. In September 2017, she opted for the General Secretariat of the PSRM, with Diego Conesa finally winning by only 220 votes. In March 2022, Murcian politics entered the PSRM Regional Committee representing Murcia-East.
The competences of this Secretary of State are those related to the policy to promote the telecommunications sector, audiovisual communication services, the deployment of infrastructures and services to guarantee the connectivity of citizens and companies and promote productivity and economic growth. .
