The vice president and heir of South Korean giant Samsung, Lee Jae-yong, was convicted on Tuesday of illegal use of the medical anesthetic propofol, in the latest court setback for the multimillionaire, the national news agency reported.
The executive of the world’s largest telephone maker and owner of the 238th largest fortune in the world, according to Forbes magazine, was fined $60,000 by the Seoul central district court, according to Yonhap news agency.
