Mexico City- Samsung reaches the third month of the year with more products in its catalog. Within the framework of the World Mobile Congress 2022, the manufacturer maintains its commitment to mobility by presenting the Galaxy Book2 Pro and Book2 Pro 360 laptops.
“Both devices combine the flexibility and versatility needed for today’s work-and-learn lifestyles, and are built with Samsung’s mobile DNA, resulting in both a productive and portable PC experience,” Samsung said in a statement. .
The new laptops are distinguished by their ultra slim and compact design, as well as incorporating 12th generation Intel processors and FHD 1080p webcams with wider viewing angles.
Both Galaxy Book2 Pro and Book2 Pro 360 will come in 13.3-inch and 15.6-inch sizes, plus these machines add AMOLED panels for more detailed image display with deeper contrasts and more vivid colors.
The Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 models, as their name indicates, can be folded 360 degrees to transform into a tablet, in addition, they add touch function and compatibility with the stylus pen with the S Pen, an option to extend the capabilities of productivity.
The 15.6-inch Galaxy Book2 Pro variant adds connectivity with the new 5G standard. On the other hand, all the computers in this new series have WiFi 6E, which, according to Samsung, allows more stable connections in crowded places.
According to the manufacturer, the Galaxy Book2 Pro series ultra-fast USB Type-C universal charger can power all Galaxy mobile devices, making it possible to carry a single charger on the go.
As for specifications, the Galaxy Book2 Pro can be found with options of twelfth generation Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors accompanied by integrated Intel Iris Xe graphics; the 15.6 model can be chosen with Intel Arc graphics.
Galaxy Book2 Pro 360, also has 12th generation Intel Core i5 and Core i7 processors with Intel Iris Xe graphics.
Regarding RAM, both models will be available in 8GB, 16GB and 32GB options and internal storage of up to 1TB.
At port level we find some distinctions. Galaxy Book2 Pro is the most complete in this field as it adds a Thunderbolt 4 USB port, a USB Type-C port, a USB Type-A port, HDMI, a 2-in-1 3.5mm headphone and microphone input and a microSD slot.
The 360 laptop only features one Thunderbolt 4 USB port, two USB-C ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a microSD reader.
Another point where they coincide is in the speaker design, since all devices include two speakers with AKG and Dolby Atmos technologies.
Samsung also emphasized the security features of the equipment, first of all, the fingerprint reader system located on the power button is supported by an independent processor where the biometric information is stored.
In this same order of ideas, with the Private Share function, which comes within the manufacturer’s software, documents and files can be shared through timed links powered by blockchain technology.
Price and availability
Galaxy Book2 Pro will be available in graphite and silver colors, while Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 will be available in burgundy, graphite and silver colors.
The 13.3-inch Galaxy Book2 Pro laptop, with an Intel Core i5 processor, plus 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, will be priced in the United States at $1,250, about 25,679 pesos at the current exchange rate.
The Galaxy Book2 Pro 360 with an Intel Core i7 processor, plus 8GB of RAM and 256GB of ROM, will cost $1,490, about 21,550 pesos at the current exchange rate.
The computers will be available sometime in April in the US market. At the moment, the South Korean brand has not revealed its market plans in Mexico.
