Finland women’s floorball national team star player Veera Kauppi, 24, opened on Monday night On Twitter conditions for the upcoming World Cup.

The Games will be played at the turn of November-December in Uppsala Arena, Sweden, with an audience capacity of just over 2,000 spectators.

Kauppi, who represents Thorengruppen IBK, who plays in the Swedish main series, considers the arena, which opened five years ago, to be functional but too small.

“The capacity is nowhere near what it should be in the Adult World Cup,” the striker, who is preparing for his fourth World Cup, wrote.

For comparison Kauppi raised both his previous World Championships and the December Men’s World Championships, which are played at Hartwall-Arena and Helsinki Ice Rink.

“I know I’m not just talking about myself, and this isn’t the only time women’s sports are being trampled on. Too many people think that they are now just women – just as if the work we do or the work we do doesn’t matter, ”Kauppi wrote.

“I’m really tired of this lack of equality, which is obvious in many ways in sport.”

Kauppi said that in his writing he only aims for the best of floorball. He wrote that he knew many willing would be left without a ticket for the final weekend.

“Could you imagine men playing their World Cup in an arena with a capacity of about 2,400 spectators? That’s what I thought.”

Star striker Kauppi also received support for his World Cup from his chosen twin sister From Oona Kauppi and the national team head coach From Lasse Kurronen.

“It’s a shame to play the 2021 World Cup in front of 2,300 spectators, especially in the sport’s home country,” Kurronen wrote On Twitter.
