Saipem, contracts worth over 600 million dollars
Saipem has been awarded two new offshore transportation and installation (T&I) contracts for a combined total of over $ 600 million. The first contract was awarded by Chevron Australia Pty Ltd for the project Jansz-lo Compression, relating to Jansz-lo gas field, about 200 kilometers off the northwest coast of Australia, at a depth of about 1,400 meters. Jansz-lo is part of the Gorgon project, managed by Chevron, a grouping of several fields and one of the largest natural gas reserves in the world. The start of offshore operations is scheduled for 2024 and the activities will be carried out by the Saipem Constellation ship. The second contract is related to the project Sakarya Gas Field Development, the first deposit of natural gas in deep water discovered in Turkey In the Black Sea, about 175 km off the coast of Eregli.

The contract provides for the transport and installation of pipelines up to a depth of 2,200 meters. Offshore operations will begin in spring 2022 and the Castorone vessel will be mainly used.
