Sailing The World Championship medal escaped from Finnish sailors in Oman: “We are super happy instead of the fourth”

Ronja Grönblom and Veera Hokka sealed their World Championship four-place finish by finishing fifth in the 49er FX medal start.

Sinem Kurtbay and Akseli Keskinen also finished fifth in the Nacra 17 class medal start and also rose fifth in the final results.

“An emotional day. At the first start of the day, we made our lives really difficult. We were still at the top mark in the game, but after that it went wrong, ”skipper Grönblom said in a press release.

The race week was difficult as Hokka suffered from stomach upset.

Ville Korhonen and Edvard Bremer finished their race in fifth place in the 49er-class gold finals and rose to 18th in 49er results.
