The popular TikTok platform, together with experts from the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University, will launch a campaign called #LikaiNoCheck, the goal of which is to tell users how to correctly recognize fakes on the network. This was reported to “Lente.ru” in the press service of TikTok.
As Elena Vartanova, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University, noted, modern youth are very technologically advanced, but rarely navigate the sources of information that exist on social networks. In her opinion, it is important for media platforms to educate their audience to effectively interact with content.
“TikTok is a new popular platform among young people, which is gaining momentum more and more rapidly,” said Vartanova. “But we must not forget that, like every media platform, TikTok has its own characteristics and rules that must be learned in order to safely and consciously consume and create content.”
Within the framework of the project, popular TikTok bloggers in a series of videos will talk about how to check the sources of messages and the reliability of images, distinguish facts from opinions, and why you should not spread information, being unsure of its reliability. In addition, users will learn how to customize the TikTok recommendation feed to display relevant content.
In addition, experts from the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University will conduct several broadcasts with tiktokers about why it is important to take a responsible attitude to both the creation and consumption of content on the Internet.
Earlier it became known how much Russian schoolchildren earn on TikTok. The highest paid Russian tiktokers turned out to be schoolchildren and students aged 12 to 21. Such conclusions were made by specialists of the Yoloco company, which analyzes accounts in social networks using artificial intelligence.
