Skilled Russians will crowd out migrants working on Moscow construction sites in two or three years because they can better accomplish the same tasks. About this in interview the radio station “Moscow speaking” said the chairman of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia Mikhail Shmakov.
“Russians have higher qualifications, they will need much less, since labor productivity is higher … At the same time, it is necessary to attract highly qualified specialists from other countries,” he stressed.
Shmakov named the main conditions for attracting Russians to work. In his opinion, this will be influenced by an increase in wages and the construction of comfortable hostels.
Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that the number of migrants at construction sites in Moscow within the framework of the city order had already more than halved a few days after the corresponding order. The mayor gave it on November 17. He is convinced that Moscow construction sites need “people of a different quality, with a different salary.”
