“Russian Standard”: Russians began to sell more often than buy euros and dollars
In the first month of autumn, Russians exchanged dollars 2.6 times more often than euros. This was reported by TASSwith reference to a study by Russian Standard Bank.
It turned out that in September dollars were sold 18 percent more often than bought. As for the European currency, it was sold 76 percent more often than it was purchased. Moreover, more than 90 percent of all conversions took place offline. Only seven percent preferred to do it online.
The average bill for one foreign exchange transaction with American currency reached 681 dollars, and with European currency – 532 euros.
In mid-June, the Bank of Russia assured Russians that there should be no currency shortages in Russia.
There are forecasts that by the end of the year the dollar in Russia will cost 94 rubles. However, some analysts do not rule out that the price of the American currency will reach 100 rubles. As for the euro, they predict an exchange rate of 110 rubles.
