Russians are massively interested in vacationing in Sri Lanka in the fall – the demand among domestic travelers in the fall has grown several times. This is reported on website Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).
“We see both sales for the coming dates and a steady demand for arrivals in February and March. Tours are booked for both couples and families. The destination is also interesting for tourists looking for a vacation on the warm ocean, original culture and exotic cuisine at a reasonable price, ”said a representative of the Russian Express company.
Tour operators note that several factors contribute to the growing interest of Russian tourists, one of which is a decrease in flight prices. Also influencing is the ability to enter the popular beach country with both an e-visa and an on-arrival visa.
Since October 26, Sri Lankan authorities have eased antiquarian restrictions for unvaccinated travelers. According to the new rules, upon arrival in the country, unvaccinated foreign tourists must pass a PCR test, book one of the first-level hotels (hotels with a Safe & Secure security certificate) and go through a seven-day mandatory quarantine (previously, the isolation period was 14 days).
