A resident of Tyumen, who lost her 19-year-old son, sued 800 thousand rubles from the hospital due to an incorrect diagnosis, informs Ura.ru with reference to the united press service of the region’s judicial system.
On December 15, the woman’s son was admitted to the regional hospital No. 12 after an epileptic seizure, in which he fell and hit his head, being injured. Doctors diagnosed the young man with convulsive syndrome. A day later, the young man fell into a coma and only after that the doctors operated on him.
Despite the interference, the young man died. After the death of her son, the Russian woman filed a claim for compensation for moral damage. The court found that due to problems with the diagnosis, the traumatic brain injury that the guy received progressed and led to death.
Earlier, a resident of the Astrakhan region sued a million rubles from a local hospital for the death of her 60-year-old spouse with COVID-19. He complained to doctors in Akhtubinsk about a cough and chest pain, specifying at the reception that he had been in contact with a coronavirus patient. The doctor diagnosed him with ARVI and prescribed a chest collection. Analyzes were taken from the Russian only on June 22, on the same day the man died. His coronavirus was confirmed posthumously.
