Russian troops crossed the Vilcha border post in the Kiev oblast (region), 50 kilometers from the border with Belarus, the Ukrainian Border Guard Service said on Thursday.

“Russian troops have violated the state border. The enemy’s weapons have crossed the Vilcha border post,” the agency said, adding that the Ukrainian army had engaged in combat against the Russian military. In addition, Russian troops fired multiple shots with multiple Grad rocket launchers at the Mlachivka border checkpoint, located in Zhytomyr oblast, northwest of Kiev.

According to the Ministry of Emergencies of Ukraine, quoted by the Ukrainian news agency “Unian”, an Air Force plane crashed in the Bukhov district, south of the Ukrainian capital. “A Ukrainian Air Force military aircraft crashed and caught fire between the villages of Zhukivtsi and Trypillia,” said the agency, which reported the deaths of five of the 14 people on board.
