Several students of the St. Petersburg City University (SPBGU) were promised to be expelled due to the diversion of their eyes from the monitor during the retake of the exam. Writes about the incident Telegram-channel REN TV channel.
Students have received a notification that they are being presented for exclusion due to academic failure.
Conclusions about unfair passing of the exam were made by the program “Examus”, which controls the passing of retakes. If a student looks away, turns his head, or opens extraneous programs, the system considers that he is cheating.
However, the students who received a notification of a possible expulsion said that they only took their eyes from the monitor for a split second and asked to review the recordings of the cameras. The SPbU staff refused the students, as the video was viewed by professional examiners.
Earlier, six students of the Ostankino Higher School said that they were expelled because of likes to a negative comment about the institution on Instagram. This is a message criticizing the school’s decision to suspend classes during non-working days in Moscow.
